Join Our Organization
Being a member of the BIG Event planning committee is a rewarding experience. Not only is it an opportunity to be a part of Texas State University's largest tradition, it also offers interpersonal growth, leadership development, and a support system on campus with new friends! Without our committee, our BIG Event would not be possible. And the good news? This organization is open to all! Undergraduate or graduate student – you can be a part of the Build legacy!
Applications to join our committee normally open at the beginning of each Fall semester. Students who are accepted into the Bobcat Build committee can expect a few things:
- A one-time, nonrefundable membership fee of $50 must be paid in order to be an official member of the committee team. Don't worry, your money goes towards any apparel items for our committee as well as the end of year celebration as a token of our appreciation.
- Year-long commitment at various events leading up to the BIG Event. From our committee meetings in the Fall and Spring semesters, to our preparation events such as our Super Saturdays and Tool Inventory, to our event day, committee members are expected to be present and fully engaged in all the things we do throughout the year. While it seems like a lot of work, we do our best to make sure your experience is worthwhile and fun!
